2018 Winter Conservatory
for the Winter Conservatory production of Newsies, the musical
Please read on for info on Round Two of Newsies auditions:
What: Dance Call and Cold Readings
When: Wednesday, October 10; 4:30-7:30pm
Where: Dance Progressions Studios
Thanks to those who auditioned on Thursday. If you did NOT audition on Thursday, you should be scheduled to come in for a vocal audition time between 3:30 and 4:30 tomorrow (Wednesday). If you would still like to audition, please call Graham Northrup at 970.300.4299 to arrange an individual audition.
EVERYONE (with the exception of a few prearranged absences) will be auditioning with cold readings and a dance combo (taught by Austin Reynolds, our Choreographer).
We will begin with readings at 4:30. You will have a chance to read through each “side” (excerpt from the script) a few times before auditioning. At 5:30 we will begin the dance portion of the audition. Please bring clothes that you can move freely in, and jazz shoes if you have them.
After the dance portion, we will continue readings as needed. ACT Big River actors will be released at 6:10 to leave for their run through.
There are a few students with conflicts on Wednesday who can only come to a portion of the audition, or not at all. We may schedule a supplemental time on Thursday to see them, as well as any Call Backs that need to be arranged.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
