The exceptional tale of Milo, Tock and a certain magic tollbooth is brought splendidly to life on stage in The Phantom Tollbooth JR. Even surrounded by dozens of toys, Milo is bored. Nothing interests him at all... until he takes a trip through the Phantom Tollbooth. Transported to the Land of Wisdom, Milo is thrust into adventure when he must bring peace between two feuding kings who argue over whether “words” or “numbers” are most important in their kingdoms. Knee-deep in danger, language, and math along the way, Milo learns everything has a purpose. Upon his return home, he realizes there is never a reason to be bored in a world full of hidden discoveries.

Final rehearsals in which the acting, singing and dancing are combined with the other technical elements of the show (lights, sound, costumes, etc) is called Tech Week. It begins April 8th, and rehearsals are 4pm-8pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of that week to allow our design and technical professionals enough time to put the show together.

Please be sure you and your student can commit to this rehearsal process. Unanticipated absences can make it very difficult for the cast to prepare efficiently and effectively for a wonderful show.

Thursday, April 11 @ 6:30pm
Friday, April 12 @ 6:30pm
Saturday, April 13 @ 2:00pm and 6:30pm

For the performance days, actors will be "called" (expected to arrive) 90 minutes before the show opens, and released when their costumes, etc have been restored to their dressing rooms after the show.

Performances are at the historic Wheeler Opera House. Tickets will be available through www.aspenshowtix.com, 970.920.5770 or at the Wheeler Box Office

Tuition is only $595 and payable upon acceptance to the Spring Youth Production. Scholarships and payment plans available. Theatre Aspen School has never turned anyone away due to financial need.
